Two years in the making, the Album, : LIFE : is the second release from country rock singer/songwriter, Pete O’Brien. Drawing influence from loved ones and the people he meets on the road, Pete has written a collection of songs that could be for anyone, they are about life, anyone’s life. “The stories in these songs are not all about me”, said Pete in a recent interview, “they could be about you, your friend or maybe that old guy that lives at the end of your street that no one visits anymore”.

The last two years have seen many successes for Pete O’Brien including 4 nominations at The Nashville Universe Awards for Male Vocalist of the Year, Songwriter of the Year, Song of the Year and Video of the Year for the song Red Dress. Red Dress has seen huge success not only on home soil but is extensively played and purchased in America. Pete was also selected in the Top 10 for the International Busking Competition at Tamworth in 2013. The competition attracts buskers from all over the world and Pete stood out amongst the 400 other contestants and was invited to perform in front of more than 2000 people on the main stage at Bi-Centennial Park, an experience Pete still draws motivation from now.

Pete O’Brien’s dedication to not only his own music but young up and coming talent and his community was also recognised via Cancer Council Queensland, awarding him the Spirit of Relay award in 2015 for his continued support of the C-Factor Talent Quest and Bundaberg Relay for Life. Pete’s spirit and drive has also been acknowledged by local photographer, Brad Cook, selecting Pete as a feature in the “Humans of Bundaberg” project at the Bundaberg Regional Art Gallery showing in December 2015.
